Salamol CFC-Free Metered Dose Inhaler 100 mcg


Salamolâ„¢ CFC-Free Inhaler is a metered dose aerosol inhaler which delivers 100mcg of salbutamol (as sulphate) per actuation (or ‘puff’).

Salamol works by widening the airways in your lungs to allow air in and out. This helps you to feel less breathless, wheezy or tight-chested.

This kind of medicine is known as a ‘Reliever’ or bronchodilator.
Your doctor may have given you Salamol to prevent asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, or other breathing problems.
Salamol provides fast relief of symptoms (within 5 minutes), and relief for around 4-6 hours.

Your doctor may also give you Salamol to prevent asthma caused by exercise or asthma caused by a substance that you are allergic to (e.g. house dust, pollen, dogs, cats, cigarette smoke), or to treat breathing difficulties which are caused by other chest diseases.

Salamol CFC-Free Inhaler contains 100mcg salbutamol (as sulphate) per metered dose. Also contains the CFC-free propellant Norflurane (HFA134a) and ethanol (anhydrous). 200 metered doses. Salbutamol makes it easier to breathe when the airways in your lungs get tight due to asthma, chronic bronchitis or emphysema. It is suitable for use in the relief of asthmatic symptoms. Many asthmatics also require a preventer inhaler. Check with your doctor that Salamol is right for you. Precautions: Use strictly as directed. Your doctor may need to adjust your dose from time-to-time depending on the severity of your asthma. Do not stop using your inhaler without your doctor’s advice. See your doctor if a previously effective dose fails to give relief for at least three hours or if you need your inhaler more often than usual. Do not use if you are allergic to Salbutamol or any of the inhaler components. Side effects may include trembling, headache, fast heart beat. Mouth and throat irritation may occur.
